Left4Dead Demo
Downloaded the demo last night. Played through the two demo campaign levels on Xbox Live a couple times last night.
The pace is fast and frantic. The teamwork required feels perfect, considering it's mainly meant to be played with other players, although the AI when not seemed real good.
There's a lot of people complaining about graphics (it uses Valve's HL2/Source engine). While not cutting edge, I thought they were fine, especially considering the pace and number of zombies on screen at times.
The two levels on the demo were definitely static, but, at least one mode in the full version has randomly generated levels. I can see this being something you can jump in and have fun with for an hour or two for quite a while, although maybe not something you can play hours on end, since it could definitely get repetitive fast.
Edit: Oh, and yes, I expect several posts about how this is better on the PC, how PC>consoles, etc. Hi, Josh.
