I dunno about you guys, but I see my internet handle EVERYWHERE. Everytime I see anything with the word Shoe on it I think of my self on the internet. And now my xbl gamertag... Theshoebox... I see that every where too. There's a venue in Portland called the shoebox theater, theres a shoe store right by the mall here in Vancouver called "The Shoe Box"....

I can think of one example of something that I saw irl that made me think of someone I knew on the web... In step brothers when will Farrel calls himself Nighthawk.

anyway, I was playing a game on DS, phoenix wright ace attorney, justice for all... and one of the defendant's cat's name is Shoe....

i only really had one internet handle for my entire internet founding and I have successfully registered it for anything and everything from every popular email service to steam to gamespy arcade. Killijin, and I have never seen anyone with it even on ICQ. So I do not share your blight. Also do to the holy ramifications, my UO char name Judas is very unpopular as well. People are superstitious it will cause bad luck.
