Default Contaimanated Chinese Products

TheStar.com | Canada | Pretzels containing melamine recalled

Looks like this week its pretzels. It's funny how every month we have at least one recall of a Chinese toy or product that is somehow contaminated. Yet we still import the shit and outsource more jobs instead of companies realizing that we need to build our own products here in the USA and Canada, otherwise this will just continue.

But even then, I still wonder if making the products here will be much better. If you look at all the many meat/produce recalls we've had lately it seems even things made or assembled here are somehow diseased. I personally think it has to do with the Slaughterhouses and Farms employing Mexicans and other people from across the border whose countries don't have anywhere near the sanitary standards of ours.

Huh? I don't fully agree. I believe it is because these companies won't spend the extra money to oversee the quality and to make sure all the procedures/regulations are being followed. Just because some Mexicans or other foreigners are working over here does not necessarily mean they are the cause of these diseases, etc. If the money was being spent to make sure regulations were being followed it wouldn't matter. Also throw some blame at the FDA for not having the manpower to make sure regulations are followed as well. I remember seeing an article not too long ago stating how they did not have enough inspectors to keep an eye on all the meat in the country.

Tough economic times=money being cut from things they probably shouldn't be. Case in point...Customer service for any major company.

Oh, I'm sure they are a few illegals who aren't just walking plagues. But since so many work in our food production. And considering all the problems we have now, it seems pretty obvious what should be the main culprit.

But I agree the FDA needs better regulatory powers on that. But we also need to do away with some of their stupid regulations since now some Meatpackers only spray their meat with a virus designed to eat bacteria and then dose it with radiation. Instead of just washing it, I'm not sure I want to eat that do you?

I believe the media portraying China as exporting dangerous goods is exaggerated.

The media is a whore and people who can't see through the bullshit have problems. While in Korea I would eat out at restaurants who had to label all beef products as (Australian Beef) so consumers were satisfied that it was not a US beef. Now tell me how blind these people are to assume that Beef we consume is somehow not safe for them to consume?

They still protest American Beef when I just imagine we are probably the largest supplier of Beef worldwide. It's all political. But, you cannot imagine how they try to bribe you to buy Beef from our comissary and give to them because our beef is so affordable in Korea. They would marry Americans and get a huge fucking shopping list from everyone in the village and go to the "Big PX in the Sky" and get all the American goodies they could and I will say this. They fucking raid our the meat section and BBQ it in the streets I saw a bitch with a shopping cart full of nothing but meat and I bet used up an entire rations card from some GI.

I think buying Chinese products are safe as long as they are not on a temporary suspension. Sorry if I get a bit off-topic but it all still pertains in a way.

That's fine with me.. I work at Dairy Farmer of America. The plant I work at is a cannery and were seeing a big upswing of Enfamil which is a milk product used to feed babies.. Since their problems with their own supplies have scared their people were getting more business at the moment... woot!!

I love the economy. I wish I had the patience to learn more about the stock market, and general economics, but I really don't. And they say Chinese outsourcing doesn't create jobs...

Gotta love the bots that post in this thread. I would definitely classify their advertising as "Contaminated Chinese Products"
