I was tempted to play AOC, but I knew it was just going to be the same thing as all the others. Maybe if they had done something more like guild wars and no monthly fee, it would have sold more. Since its obvious it was too much for them to keep pumping out content and most people wont keep paying 15 bucks a month to sit around and stare at their avatar.
Maybe some day they'll realize that the MMO market is way too overloaded with games and making a massive single player game with just some simple death match multiplayer would be a better use of their money/resources.
I have a feeling that Warhammer will probably suffer the same fate, if its lucky and its as brutal as they say it might pull it off and actually carve out a spot in the MMO market. But I honestly doubt it, what with WoW itself becoming somewhat stagnant. I think quite a few gamers are just tired of grinding and paying monthly fees for basically more delivery quests.
